Arienrhod is still. "You are afraid for your daughter."

She considers. "I am not certain what we could do to help them or vice versa, but I cannot see how it would cause harm. What spies our enemies have are already among us. Word can hardly spread further than that."

*As she mentions his daughter, the same look of pain and despair enters his eyes before he can manage to hide it from her again.  As he replies, he looks downward, his voice soft and full of emotion*

A father should not have to fail his child?. yes I am afraid

"We are all afraid, William. It is what we do in those moments of fear and crisis that define us, temper us. Do not let your fear cloud your mind or cripple your body. We are in the hands of the gods."

*He smiles once again at her in genuine humour at her mention of the Gods*

You do not need to tell me that we are in the hands of the Gods Arienhrod, but you are right in what you say.  Each and everyday I pray that what I do will be enough and that by following what my heart says to do will not cause harm.
