Reports have been received of a problem that is too close to home to ignore, a problem that has claimed several lives and several other people are missing too.
At least two scouts and several fishermen are known to be dead and five specialists, all from the militia, who were sent to investigate, have not returned.
Specialists and the Militia have risked their lives in the past to help me and I intend to return the favour.  So I plan to go and find those that are missing and if possible deal with the problem as well.
Whilst I gather as much information about the situation as possible, I need four or five experienced specialists to join me and form a search and rescue party.
If you want to join me or have any information you can get word to me through any member of the militia, the scouts or at the grove.

Rekis catches the notice on the notice board. He stands there for a second and ponders the message - it is clear that such a concern is one that he needs not only to dwell on but act on. If we cannot resolve our local issues then how are we to apporach larger ones such as the two headed monster seen so recently?

He quickly ascertains the whereabouts of Raven and seeks the elf out.

"Raven - please, i have heard of you seeking volunteers. I am not the most experienced but my skills have helped on a number of missions - if you deem me worhwhile I can try and assist you - we must help our citizens and the scouts where we can.

"I thank you for contacting me and your offer, Rekis. I shall consider you when forming the search party and in the meantime, if you learn of anything that you feel may prove useful, please let me know."

(ooc - this is likely to be a high level mission.)

Tathar pins a notice on the board near the training ground, it reads as follows:-

"Raven,

The brave specialists need our help, count me it.
May Madriel's blessings be upon all who volunteer.

               Ever your Friend

                       Tathar.   Priest of Madriel"

Ooc - 12th level cleric volunteering to save the deveneger brothers, there are plenty more Runts where that lot came from!!!!! Lol

Raynor reads the note pinned to the board by Raven and sighs deeply, obviously something is weighing heavy on her heart.

Closing her eyes for a moment she focuses and her apparent flowing pale dress shimmers for a moment before transforming into very close fitting dark leather armour that leaves very little to the imagination. Now a blood red handled rapier and whip obviously at her side.

Whispering a curse under her breath she leaves the notice board obviously annoyed.

Ittittard walks up and reads the note.

"Hmm.
Fellow comrades in arms in trouble, and if Raven and Tathar are calling for help it must be BIG trouble!"

Ittittard pulls out a quill and ink bottle and writes on the note:

Count me, in. Ittittard

i do not know if this information is relivent, but on the day the runts went out, i also went on a misson that at the end involved two water type creatures that tried to make you go into a pool of water, near a ruined area. They seemed to have limited inteligence and also wanted us to go through a one way underwater entrance. Since we had no way of breathing under water, or teleporting out we did not go any further in. The creatures also seemed single minded in this i think something was controling them or they were commanded to get people to go through this undrewater entrance. also all the water from this area seemed to be going towards this pool. I have only mentioned this because it was said that fishermen had gone missing, and if we had gone with these creature i think we would as well.
i hope this helps i owe the runts a favor.

Ruthan, you're information is well received and adds credence to other intelligence gathered.
I shall make sure that the Runts are made aware of your help when we find them.

OOC - I'm amazed that who or whatever has taken them have held on to them, even their bodies would be offensive and certianly inedible!!

That is valuable information indeed, Ruthan. But while I have no doubt that these single-minded creatures of limited intellect you describe would have no trouble outwitting the Runts, I cannot imagine anything capable of convincing them to entertain the idea of bathing.

Still, if there is any aid I can offer, do not hesitate to call on me.
