As I can sense the general drift of things,  I'm not going to bother with the boards for a while again.

I keep trying to do things and keep getting ignored.

If nobody can be asked to talk to me about it, the monastery is not getting involved in helping. That means ANYTHING. There's no excuse not to try to contact me. My e-mail account in the profile works just dandy and there's even a nifty Private Mailing system on the boards to contact me with if you're worried about me checking that.

I'm TIRED of trying to do things with a big fat zero being the result; or all of my efforts being handed off to other people to get the laurels. I spent RL months and months trying to get to know Teshians on the boards only to have all pertinant information about them handed off to other characters. Arienrhod created the Militia training grounds and I've spent a lot of time and effort trying to help on that score only to get shoved about. I remained a private, but I never moaned about that one right up to the day they booted me out. I wanted to help settle the Termanans on the lakeshore and nobody talked to me about that either other than to tell me I couldn't do it at the end of the day.

I've emailed people but the last emails bounced. I've tried to make it patently clear I'd like to get involved on the boards. Nothing.

That's fine. Nothing comes of nothing.

Now I'm nothing.

Adios.

-Beth

I'm sorry you feel that way Beth but I have discussed some of these issues with you before and they are in the past now, we have tried...or at least I have tried to maintain the boards practicaly by myself in the past but now I have a little more help but even that is limited.

I have been told that people wont post because we are too restrictive by telling people what they can and can not do, well we have pulled back on that as shown in Tarfins thread about making balistas. I have also been given a number of really poor excuses as to why people wont post so frankly....welcome to my world.

Sorry if that seems harsh but as you know I have tried getting people to post for the last couple years to no avail so I have little sympathy for this. You as the PC's know who each other are, if you want to post to each other then don't assume others read the forums often if at all. You have to email them to get the ball rolling.

As for current threads, even though I am half way round the world with a 9.5 hour difference I have still kept an eye on the forums and have answered as many threads as I could or directed threads to others.

If there is a specific thread you are talking about and it involves the committee then as I have said on more then a dozen occasions......email me and I will get it sorted but I am not a mind reader and I can not keep up with every thread on here....I'm only one person and I am vary much human.

Sorry if this is not the response you were after but I have been flogging the preverbial dead horse for more then 2 years now. As it is there are more people posting now then there were prior to the old forums going down so as far as i'm concerned thats a bonus. Talking of threads not being answered, you and I were doing one but you have not answered that and Dave has not continued that Bobil thread either. However I was not worried by this as you yourself have said before.....Real life issue can get in the way and we should allow people time to respond before assuming they have forgotten or don't want to post.

Lou.

Louisa,

I HAVE emailed you and nothing happened. I emailed the committee address and nothing happened. In fact the address that I've had for the committee does nothing but bounce at the moment.

I was under the impression that this was a player-driven campaign, so I have spent MONTHS trying to build up things, trying to achieve specific goals. Every single time it has come to nothing.

Tom spent specific time getting involved in areas and yet no recognition of this appears anywhere either. It's not just me.

I hate to be nasty, but you're in Austrailia. The Committee here is going to have to learn how to pay attention to what is happening under their noses or this campaign will suffer.  It is impractical and somewhat backwards to expect people no longer in the country to keep intimately abreast of what has occurred and to expect them to keep the people actually still around informed. If this campaign cannot survive without your direct, daily involvement, then how robust is it?

I'm not talking about a wedding. I'm talking about plans being laid that involve the monestary that I haven't even been informed about. If Arienrhod is not informed then the monks know nothing. As I've pointed out, there's no excuse for this. I'm usually around on MSN. My current email address is in my profile. There's a private messaging system on these very boards.

Beth your assuming I actually got your emails....as it happens I have had no emails from you for several months if not longer and you have seen me on MSN as well so theres no excuse there for you not to have asked if I got your email as others have done themselves.

I know the emails for Lihr were bouncing prior to the new forum but as yet I had/have not been told that this is a problem now with the new forum.

We do not have as many committee members as say Sarb, none on email or with regular internet access anyway and this is why I am still actively involved rather then stepping back completely. But yes I agree being half way round the world and not going to cons does mean that I am more out of the loop then the other committee members.

As for 'your' monestry. As I understand it you were given carte blanche to do what you wanted with it, to basicly run with it. I even gave you all the names of NPC monks and how experienced they are and as yet you have done nothing with that from what I can see. The same re milita was done for Paul/Fitz but I am not responsible if he doesn't post esp as very few other pc militia post and so my imput there is not required.
I also know that you have a tendancy to do stuff off the forums or mention what your doing to committee members in a social setting......That does not work, we can not be expected to remember a conversation we had with someone x number of weeks ago and we are not mind readers. We must be included in all emails that involve the forums or stuff your wanting to do for/to the campain so we have documented evidence and can react accordingly as we have done for other PC's.

Yes you have had some set backs but so have many others, just as Gary how many times he has been halted in something he has done, how many times he has done something and not apparently been given the recognition for it. What exactly is it your wanting? For us to post how in awe and greatfull the populace are? It doesn't work like that, the committee know who have done good things and who haven't and they are rewarded in an indirect way with things like easier access to stores/potions, reduced charges to crafting and the such like.

If you are not happy with what we are doing then come up with some constructive and practical suggestions, as I have said before I have a lot of people complain but not give any constructive suggestion as to what should be done.

How about volunteering to join the committee? then you'll be in the hub and be able to make those changes that you feel are required.

In the meantime I will foward the link to this thread to those committee members with internet access.
